  3. New Year Goals

    Ok I spent the afternoon in Starbucks with a Caramel Latte and my journal writing my goals for Twenty Ten. I divided them into some categories here are a few of them for you.

    • Personal
      • To learn to drive.
      • To grow in my relationship with God; setting aside time for daily devotion.
      • To Increase in confidence and grow my capacity as a leader.
      • To lead from a place of strength and not trying to impress.
      • To read one book a month.
      • to have a close friend hold me accountable to these goals.
    • Husband / Family Leader
      • To Love Hosanna as Christ loves His church.
      • To give equal time to my family as I do in other ministry areas.
      • To provide Financial, emotional and practical support for my family.
      • To initiate prayer times & minister to and with my family.
    • Ministry Leader
      • To grow in my capacity to lead.
      • To recruit at least 1 new leader every month.
      • to go for coffee with one member of my team at least once a week.
      • To communicate vision clearly and effectively.
      • To train my leaders to my level.

    The key to keeping these goals is to keep them where I can see them.

    The other key is to have a close friend who really knows me keep a copy of these goals and hold me accountable, so on the days when I am feeling sick or having a bad hair day they can encourage me to keep my eyes fixed on the goal.

Seeing that 2010 is almost here and another decade has past, here’s a history lesson for you, no.1 middle row second from the left is Nathaniel Fisher aged 5. second is a picture of me sporting an England top second from the right and finally there is a picture of Hosanna and I this year. oh how the decades have changed, as has technology, i had to get 2 photo’s from facebook as i don’t have a scanner to upload my old photos.
